Tomomi says “my career as an aromatherapist began in 1998. I have been practicing clinical aromatherapy since 2000. In the same year, I established the Aromatherapy Volunteering Group that became the Japan Aromatherapy Welfare Support Association NPO, (JAWSA), in 2015. The main activity of JAWSA is to offer aromacare for patients in palliative and end-of-life care at hospices, hospitals and nursing homes. My main work involves aromacare for the dying and bereavement care for their family in hospitals as well as providing monthly training sessions for nurses and doctors in aromacare. In 2001, I established Konohana Ltd. The main activity of Konohana is to offer an aromatherapy clinic at the 52nd floor of the Yokohama Royal Park Hotel.”
